How Often?

The Maintenance Schedule for the ISP model scroll vacuum pumps is based on 8,000-hour increments per the schedule published by Anest Iwata. Minor maintenance is recommended at the first 8,000-hour interval and Major maintenance is recommended at the 16,000-hour interval.

What is Recomended

Minor Maintenance -- 8,000 hours

  • Refresh brease on all bearing and seal locations
  • Replace seals on crankshaft and bearings.
  • Replace O-rings on inlet/outlet flanges and between mating scroll flanges.
  • Replace the outlet valve set
  • Replace air flush kit
  • Clean up material build up on all pump surfaces

Major Maintenance -- 16,000 hours (Minor Maintenance Plus:)

  • Replace all bearings
  • Replace tip seals
Benefits:

Performing maintenance as prescribed above will provide the following benefits:

  • Increased Uptime
  • Minimize excessive wear due to increased loads on rotating surfaces. These loads can be created by factors such as dry and overheated bearings and touch points created by material build up between moving scroll surfaces.
  • Avoid increased costs of unscheduled downtime and expedited repairs.
  • Maximize performance and operating life of the scroll vacuum pump
