What's Involved?
Work Performed:
Upon receipt a thorough inspection for wear, damage, and material build up is conducted and the pump is then cleaned. After the maintenance components are installed the pump is then reassembled, and tested under varying operating conditions. After this break-in period, the pump is disassembled and the orbiting scroll and fixed scrolls are inspected for proper interface and adjusted as needed. The pump is then reassembled for final test. Final amperages are again monitored and recorded under varying operating conditions for conformance to OEM specifications. Minor maintenance should be performed at 8,000 hours, 24,000 hours, and 40,000 hours. Major maintenance should be performed at 16,000 hours, 32,000
Scope of Major Maintenance:
- Replace needle bearings on the orbiting and fixed scrolls
- Replace motor ball bearings
- Replace all tip seals
- Inspect pin cranks and pin crank bearings
- Replace the seal on the pin crank bearings
- Replace the shaft seals on both fixed scrolls
- Replace the G seal on both fixed scrolls and on the orbiting scroll
